Dear One,

Whose laughter do I hear echoing down the years with such ebullience that it was an immediate cause for those around you to be happy, too? (Except for the times when we didn't want to sit next to you at the movies, afraid we'd get in trouble because of your boisterous laugh.)

Whose voice, that so loved to laugh, also used it in inspirational song that could break our hearts?

Whose fingers busily flitted over the keys of the piano and made you wish you could listen forever?

Whose hand created innumerable items that were so well crafted and so joyfully shared with others?

Who, together with Bud, raised a loving family of three that she always made me feel a part of?

Whose indomitable strength and dignity throughout these years of failing health was a model for us all?

Whose love of family and friends ran so deep that it literally oozed out of you? We have all felt that love and have rejoiced in it and the life it represented.

We are truly grateful that we were allowed to share your life. Now that you have left us we have wonderful memories to sustain us, and we will sorely miss you.

Love always,

Sassy
